Styled by Giles Deacon

London based fashion designer Giles Deacon has worked for Gucci and Bottega Veneta before creating his own line, GILES, with whom he has won several British Fashion Awards.

His playful & confident style has become his signature on and off the catwalk.

We caught up with Giles at his studio in East London, where we talked stripes, bright colours and his picks from our Spring / Summer 2011 range, a little vintage thrown in for good measure too.

"I've been wearing Carhartt since I was 16 / 17, I used to go to Afflecks Arcade in Manchester and used to buy a mix of new imported work wear and some vintage pieces and have been pretty much wearing it since then.

Wearing Carhartt to me means that's its really affordable, its really durable, its good for working in, you could get really dirty, it would look great, the quality lasts for ages, ages and ages. It's an innate style that's really timeless.

The staple piece for me is the Duck Canvas cotton Logger Pant, which I wear forever and ever and ever. Also, the Carlux zip up hoodie and this season i've been really enjoying wearing all the striped t-shirts!"
